CURATOR'S NOTE: It will become self-evident why I felt these two daring whole-body monumental mark-makers would pair up well. Thanks Sonja Hinrichsen [ www ] and Judith Braun [ www ] for cheerfully agreeing to participate in this exhibit. In this show, the rule of thumb (hah!) is: photos with fingerprints on walls are Braun art; aerial photos of footprints in snow are Hinrichsen art. In a pleasing affirmation of the pairing of Judith Braun designs with Sonja's snow, news coverage of the winter Olympics in Sochi shows a Braun-designed fingerprint-series snowboard in the hands of a U.S. medalist.
